The University of Mississippi
Ethics Bowl Team
Students who are enrolled in an Ethical Policy Debate course (Phil 204 and Phil 347) are given the opportunity to join the UM Ethics Bowl Team. They compete in the Mid-Atlantic Region regional competition as well as the National Ethics Bowl competition if they qualify.

The Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl (IEB) is a program conducted by the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE). The purpose of the ethics bowl is to foster ethical conversations as a way to improve students' ability to tactfully, intelligently, and civilly engage their peers. On top of sharpening research and public speaking skills, students become familiar with normative theory (that is, theories of ethics) and are coached on how to apply these theories to complicated cases.
